Current Events
Business Meeting: Plank Road Guild meets for its general meeting on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetings start at 9:30 am at the Cicero United Methodist Church 8416 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY. Our general membership meetings include a business meeting, a program by a local or nationally known guest speaker and conclude with an opportunity for members to “Show and Tell” their latest quilts. Guests are welcome. Guests pay $2 and may attend two meetings , after which they are asked to join.
Monthly Meetings:
Friendship Meeting: The guild meets at 9:30 am on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Cicero United Methodist Church 8416 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY. The Friendship meeting is a time to socialize and meet other members. Bring your sewing projects to work on.
Utica Retreat 10/23 - 10/26:
The Guild has scheduled a 4-day retreat at The Good News Center in Utica New York. Bring your sewing projects and your pillow. (spots are limited). Spend 4 days with your fellow quilters. Enjoy socializing, good food, games, local shopping and completing your projects. Single and double rooms are available. (members see ‘Member Section’ for more information).
Holiday Party 12/10:
Join us for the Plank Road Quilt Guild Holiday Party, “The Legend of the Christmas Rose”. At our Business Meeting on December 10, 2025, at 9:30. You will need to bring your own table service and beverage as well as a dish to share. Volunteer sign-up sheets will be available at the November meeting and will be posted in the Member Only section as a reminder. We can’t wait to share this legend with you.

Fun With Color Class 11/12/25:
This is a follow-up class to the lecture given at the Business Meeting. A fun hands-on activity using fabric scraps and a color wheel. (see Members Only section for details)
