Business Meeting: Plank Road Guild meets for its general meeting on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetings start at 9:30 am at the Cicero United Methodist Church 8416 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY. Our general membership meetings include a business meeting, a program by a local or nationally known guest speaker and conclude with an opportunity for members to “Show and Tell” their latest quilts. Guests are welcome. Guests pay $2 and may attend two meetings , after which they are asked to join.
Monthly Meetings:
Friendship Meeting: The guild meets at 9:30 am on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Cicero United Methodist Church 8416 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY. The Friendship meeting is a time to socialize and meet other members. Bring your sewing projects to work on.
National Quilt Day Celebration 3/13/2026 (noon to 6pm):
Join us at the Cicero American Legion and help us celebrate National Quilt Day. Honor Flight quilts will be on display and a representative from the Syracuse Honor Flight chapter will be on hand to provide information on the Honor Flight program. Other community projects along with the guild’s 2026 raffle quilt will be shown. Tickets for the raffle quilt will be available for purchase. The drawing will be at our quilt show in April. Some of our members will be there with their sewing projects ready to demonstrate and answer questions. The American Legion’s fish fry is from noon to 7:30. The menu can be viewed on their website (link below). So come join us, view some beautiful quilts and have a great fish dinner.
Workshops
February 11, 2026: Color Theory
At the Business Meeting Sue and Chris Resig will be giving a presentation on color theory. After the meeting there will be a workshop on color possibilities for your next quilt. The Members Only section has the material list for the workshop.
