Service Projects:
American Legion Auxiliary:
Plank Road was asked by the American Legion Auxiliary to make a Christmas Tree Skirt for the Tree they are donating to the Festival of Trees at the Everson Museum. The Festival of Trees has been an annual fund raiser for the Everson Museum for over 40 years. Several of the Guild members got together and made a beautiful tree shirt to enhance the festive tree.
Quilts for Honor Flight Honorees:
40"x 60" These quilts are given to honor flight attendees as they land at the airport in Syracuse. If you ever get a chance to see a flight come in, it’s quite an emotional moment. The quilts need to be red, white and blue, and 40” by 60”. Batting can be used or just a flannel backing is acceptable.
McMahon Ryan Advocacy Center:
These quilts go to abused children and teens that come to the center for help. Any type of blanket or quilt is welcome. Soft flannel or fleece backing is requested.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace:
Child bedlessness may not be a real word but it is a real problem. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a growing group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering beds to children (ages 3-17) in need in the greater Syracuse and Oswego City area. We believe in sharing the need with the community and then providing ways for the community to help meet that need. We are locally all volunteer. Since our first delivery on October 6th, 2018 we have delivered over 5730 beds and counting. Plank Road Quilt Guild donates quilts and pillowcases to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
